¿Cómo infulo una vista personalizada en XML?

Esta es la primera vez que intento usar una vista personalizada en XML y no estoy seguro de cómo hacerlo. Cualquier ayuda sería muy apreciada.

Estoy utilizando la cobertura de Interfuser y necesito inflarlo donde puedo usarlo en un formato XML para poder añadir otros componentes en la vista.

Esperemos que el código a continuación muestre lo que necesito (tratando de hacer). Estoy seguro de que esto es más fácil de lo que pienso.
